In a nutshell

Accountable for driving the development of the IPF Digital (IPFD) internal audit strategy and for executing the IPFD internal audit plan. Reporting the Head of Group Internal Audit from a functional perspective, with a dotted line into the Finance Director for IPFD, this role will in the future initially have one direct report but will also occasionally manage other audit resources around the group for individual audits, as necessary

Your daily tasks:

• Contribute to the facilitation of the on-going development of risk management and governance processes at IPFD

• On-going awareness of key risks in order to maintain an effective and up to date IPFD internal audit plan

• Management and coordination of third-party service providers (as necessary) to deliver the internal audit plan for IPF Digital

• Timely execution of internal audits to deliver the IPFD internal audit plan in compliance with GIA methodology, quality assurance and performance standards

• Building and maintaining effective engagement and collaboration with key stakeholders at IPFD to assure consistent delivery of risk information and proactively identify potential risk events, issues and control weaknesses across IPFD

• Actively champion a culture of risk awareness and management and the benefits of operating an adequate system of internal controls at IPFD

• Provision of advice to IPFD management on the development of risk and control monitoring processes, functional policies and procedures

• Acting as a ‘critical friend’ in relevant management committees and providing actionable insight to key stakeholders

• Keeping abreast of developments and innovations in respect of internal auditing, corporate governance, risk management and internal control

• Actively maintaining a good understanding of the IPFD business strategy and external environment

• Providing internal audit operational and ad hoc support as required

So, what skills, knowledge and experience do you have?

Skills

• Very good presentation, written and spoken communication
• Excellent listening skills
• Ability to establish credibility with senior people
• Good analytical and logical thinking in order to identify underlying drivers, root causes, develop conclusion and provide insight to senior leaders
• Strong focus on the timely delivery of high quality accurate internal audit reports
• Positive attitude to managing conflicting priorities and complex projects
• Ability to coach others

Knowledge

• A thorough knowledge of all aspects of internal auditing, corporate governance, risk management and internal control
• Knowledge of financial products and digital lending (very desirable)

Experience

• At least 7 years senior level experience in risk-based internal auditing within a complex multi- national business environment
• Experience in providing relevant support and advice to senior stakeholders
• Experience in accounting, financial reporting, business analysis or process management
• Experience of working with remote international team members and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Educated to Degree level
• Qualified Accountant or similar certification
• Internal audit and/or risk management qualifications (desirable)

• Willingness to travel
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Excellent PC user skills and experience of working with Microsoft Office software (to include PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel)
