Jacobi is looking for a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our Asia/Pacific Sales organisation. A BDM is responsible for creating new business opportunities, managing a book of prospects, and converting prospects into qualified sales deals, ultimately supporting the sales team in winning new clients. The individual will work closely with senior sales, Business Development and Marketing. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and its ability to help solve real challenges for the investment management industry. Therefore, it is important that the applicant has relevant financial services industry experience.


  • Consistently achieve quotas for converted prospects into sales deals
  • Work closely with marketing/business development to nurture prospects and convert them into qualified sales deals
  • Develop a list of target accounts and developing short- and long-term strategies for generating and qualifying target accounts into sales opportunities
  • Work closely with the sales team on a qualified sales deal and progress deals through the early stages of the sales pipeline
  • Participate in the evolution of company best practices, standards, and policies
  • Provide investment industry and financial market insights
  • Experience working with multi-asset investment teams within wealth management, asset manager, consultants and asset owners is preferred.

Experience and qualifications required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in client facing role(s) with proven track record of success in financial services, asset or wealth management and/or corporate sales (FinTech software sales a plus)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience working directly with clients
  • Proven ability to contribute to the creation of impactful written marketing materials and client communication
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
