What we are looking for:
We are building market leading capabilities in our Credit Risk function. The Credit Risk team manages and supports a broad range of initiatives across product, credit risk and collections using a data driven approach across the entire suite of products – Personal Loans, Line of Credit, AutoPay. We'll require the candidate to have at least 2 years relevant experience.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Proactively lead insight generation and identify opportunities for improvement in metrics like roll rates, cure rates, loss and recovery rates.
- Monitoring and development of credit risk scorecards used for decisioning, risk pricing and collections using advanced statistical techniques, machine learning/AI and various internal/external data sources including credit bureau and customer financials. Leverage analysis to pricing including elasticity and minimum coverage targets to deliver agreed portfolio returns
- Perform risk analytics on debt collections and recoveries strategies including NPV analysis, lifetime value and IRR establishing mathematical models/frameworks to evaluate alternative champion/challenger approaches.
- Monitor leading credit indicators to ensure compliance within the agreed risk appetite scorecard for each product using insights from portfolio performance
- Ownership of expected credit loss provisioning models across various products, including tracking of drivers like PD/EAD & LGD and movement across stages and backtesting analysis to maintain relevancy of the models used
- Supporting monthly reporting and ad-hoc deep dives for a range of credit KPIs tracking performance across lifecycle and drive credit policy changes based on observed trends/patterns of emerging risk.
To be successful in this role you must have the following:
- Experience in consumer lending with a solid understanding of unsecured credit risk policy levers.
- Enhance and maintain credit reports including integrity, governance, scalability and perform additional deep dives as required.
- Experience in collections strategies, test and learn including understanding of operational processes, setting dashboards and metrics.
- Highly analytical with attention to detail – experience in loss provisioning models per AASB9 standards desirable (but not a must).
- Experience in data manipulation and visualization tools like SAS VA, SQL, PowerBI, etc.
- At least 2 years of experience in analytics, reporting and development/ tracking of KPI's.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory framework regarding consumer credit would be an advantage.
- Solid written and oral communication skills – ability to articulate insights to diverse stakeholders and influence outcomes.

Salary for this role will be $110k - $130k + super.
