The opportunity
The best online help gives the user exactly what they need, when they need it. We’re looking for someone who can create quality support content which will empower our teams to self-service first, saving time and reducing dependency on support teams.
As a Technical Writer and Content Manager, you’ll help users successfully complete tasks and discover value-adding features across our internal tools. It’s all about making people’s lives easier by saving them time and communicating the right messages. You'll also play a role in ensuring the success of our internal knowledge base and intranet by creating content and curating the platforms to deliver a great employee experience.
This isn’t just sitting behind a computer and writing instructions. You’ll get to work with all sorts of intelligent, passionate people to help make usable and intuitive products. You’ll also get to flaunt your creativity by explaining new features and delivering a compelling support experience.
What You'll Be Focused On...
- Design help that’s clear, helpful and solves real customer problems
- Guidance on terminology, wording, and language design
- Collaborate with internal teams to create content that helps team members successfully self-serve
- Using analytics and client feedback to understand the effectiveness of content, and seek ways to improve feature adoption and reduce fallout to support
- Giving and receiving feedback on writing style, structure and purpose to peers and other teams, as well as optimising content for search
What We'd Love to See From You
- A curious mind that gets to the bottom of user needs
- Professional experience creating online software documentation (we’d love to see your best examples!)
- Outstanding skills in crafting plain, user-centric English
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and fluently
- Ability to understand users’ real-world, business needs and explain how our solutions can help them
