About the Team
Overflowing with expertise, Group Services keeps MYOB highly tuned and up and running. Made up of several specialised teams including commercial, finance, legal and risk, these are the professionals who drive our business performance, while always ensuring we’ve dotted our I's and crossed our T's!
About the Role
As the Privacy Manager, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring MYOB’s compliance with privacy laws across Australia and New Zealand. You’ll build, refine, and lead our privacy program, working across departments to develop policies, conduct risk assessments, and provide expert guidance on privacy-related matters.
What You’ll Do
- Privacy Program Management: Drive and enhance MYOB’s privacy policies, procedures, and training.
- Risk Mitigation: Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and implement safeguards to minimize risks.
- Policy Leadership: Regularly update and communicate privacy policies organization-wide.
- Training & Awareness: Develop programs that promote a privacy-first mindset across teams.
- Incident Management: Assess and support resolution of privacy incidents, collaborating with legal, technology, and security teams.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay ahead of privacy law changes and ensure MYOB remains compliant.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Be the go-to contact for privacy inquiries and collaborate with internal and external partners to maintain best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for growth and innovate privacy solutions to keep MYOB ahead of the curve.
About You
You’re a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in privacy law and a collaborative spirit. You have:
- Experience: 5+ years in privacy, legal, compliance, or data governance roles.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of Australian and New Zealand privacy law and compliance best practices.
- Qualifications: Relevant higher education degree (essential); legal or IT-related certifications (desirable).
- Skills: Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Integrity: A high standard of ethics and professionalism in every aspect of your work.
