The Senior Business Analyst plays a key role within the product development team, acting as the main conduit between the development team and the business by understanding and translating business needs into software requirements, ensuring that the requirements, designs and specifications are captured, defined and well understood by the development team, using agile practices. Working alongside the Product Manager, the Senior BA combines influence and leadership to facilitate discussions amongst stakeholders to perform business analysis and define the scope of product releases.

The Senior BA should also assist in ensuring the system of work and flow into the development team is efficient and effective.

The Senior BA plays a key role in the ownership and fostering of the Community of Practice around Agile Business practices and plays a coaching/mentoring role to junior BA's.

You are a driven, self-motivated, resourceful, naturally curious individual who uses a creative mind-set to solve problems and help the team achieve excellence consistently.

You have a superior understanding of agile principles and pride yourself on creating healthy meticulously groomed backlogs. You enjoy gaining and sharing information with the team and are comfortable with change, able to adapt as needed.

- Experience leading an agile team through agile ceremonies (stand up, retro, showcases, workshops, inceptions etc.

- Excellent communicator that nurtures a collaborative environment.

- Great at presenting information through visual tools and techniques.

- Strong organisation and facilitation skills.

- Demonstrates a good understanding of architectural and technical designs.

- Have experience working across complex business and technical environments.

- High level confidence in business modelling frameworks, process and technical solutioning.

- Ability to translate business requirements into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.

- Ability to simplify highly complicated & complex ideas into consumable visuals and language.

- Comfortable managing priorities by working closely with the product manager and delivery team.
