About the role
As a Mid‑Market Account Manager, you’ll partner with a collection of small‑to‑medium accounting practices across Australia, supporting the mid‑tier of our Practice Partner ecosystem. These firms sit at an exciting crossroads between traditional SMB and emerging enterprise, and you’ll play a key role in helping them modernise and grow.
You’ll lead digital transformation conversations, build deep strategic relationships and guide partners as they migrate to the cloud and embrace MYOB’s connected ecosystem. Success in this role means balancing strong commercial outcomes with genuine advisory partnerships, influencing stakeholders at multiple levels and positioning MYOB as an essential partner in each firm’s growth journey.
What will keep you busy...
- Manage a portfolio of mid‑market accounting practices, building genuine, long‑term partnerships that help them succeed
- Drive new business growth across MYOB’s SME suite, consistently achieving monthly and quarterly targets
- Lead partner conversations that spark insight, uncover needs and support digital transformation and cloud migrations
- Stay proactive with daily outreach and partner engagement — typically 10 calls, 2 meetings and new opportunity creation
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver tailored programs that boost product adoption and partner outcomes
- Spot risks early and take action to retain SME subscriptions, ensuring partners continue seeing value in MYOB
- Maintain strong CRM hygiene, forecasting accuracy and pipeline to stay ahead of the game
What we'd love to see from you...
- Experience in SaaS, technology or professional services in Account Management, BDM or AE roles, you know how to build relationships and create momentum
- Demonstrate a proactive approach with a passion for uncovering opportunities and helping customers grow
- Any exposure to the accounting or SME ecosystem is a bonus, but not essential.
- Strength in consultative selling, you’re confident leading value‑led conversations that influence partners
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to thrive in a high‑volume portfolio environment
- A customer‑first approach that balances acquisition with retention
- Clear, engaging communication and a collaborative outlook
