The Investment Administrator (Transitions) plays a crucial role within the Investment Administration team, providing operational oversight and ensuring the smooth migration of investment assets. This role involves engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, planning and executing asset migration, conducting reconciliations, and supporting various projects related to asset migration, tax, and investment administration.
Please note this is a 6 month fixed term contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Investment Administration & Operations:
- Oversee product configuration and asset migration streams.
- Coordinate meetings and engage with external stakeholders.
- Assess investment asset availability and plan migrations, including in-specie test instructions.
- Complete pre- and post-migration reconciliation activities with accuracy.
- Maintain precise and timely record-keeping of all migration-related documentation.
- Assist with audit inquiries related to asset migrations.
- Collect system data relevant to migrations, tax, and other projects, and conduct complex data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with internal teams, including Product, Project, Sales, Compliance, Finance, Risk, IT, and Client Service Managers.
- Engage with external stakeholders such as asset custodians (BNP, Clearstream), external platforms (CFS, Clearview), dealer groups, financial advisers, and service providers (HSBC, ANZ, ING, AIA, Zurich, TAL, etc.).
- Migration & Reconciliation:
- Manage asset migration projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of migration objectives.
- Ensure updates to administration systems, including in-specie cost base and cash movements.
- Comply with Hub24 procedures and processes to meet compliance obligations.
- Provide documentation to the Compliance & Risk team when requested.
- Prepare periodic settlement reports.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with annual tax projects, corporate actions, asset reconciliation, and settlements.
- Support managed/model portfolio administration, re-weightings, and allocations.
- Participate in Investment Manager Quarterly service reviews.
- Provide training and support for the Fund Manager workbench.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years Financial Services experience.
- Strong communication skills both written & verbal
- Experience with external stakeholder engagement relative to project work. Ability to organise and coordinate external client meetings.
- Knowledge of asset migration activities, including in-specie and cash settlement functions • Strong data analysis skills, advanced Microsoft Excel skills are strongly desired
- Knowledge of Australian tax, and CGT parcel allocations
- Knowledge of Australian securities, Managed Funds, and an understanding of the risks inherent in settlement activities
- Understanding of various financial products/instruments available in the domestic market, experience in cash is highly desirable
