Due to continued growth, we have created a new opportunity for a skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Actions Specialist to join our Investment Operations team.
As a Corporate Actions Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering corporate action services within an MDA reporting service offering. Reporting to the Corporate Actions Team Leader and working closely with another Corporate Actions Specialist, you will also provide client services and investment administration support across HUB24 Custodial Services, IDPS, and Super Products.
Key responsibilities
- Corporate Actions Processing & Management:
- Manage and process corporate actions such as dividends, placements, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Work with internal teams and custodians to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Tax Compliance & Reporting:
- Manage tax implications of corporate actions, including dividend withholding and capital gains.
- Assist in preparing and submitting tax reports to regulatory authorities.
- Data Management & Reconciliation:
- Maintain and reconcile corporate actions data for accuracy.
- Liaise with vendors and custodians to verify data and resolve issues.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with ASIC, ATO, and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and update processes accordingly.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide support to clients regarding corporate actions and tax implications.
- Work closely with internal teams such as investment administration, client service, and product teams
Key requirements
- Financial instruments, products, platforms, and the financial planning industry experience
- Understanding of Australian Tax
- Significant financial services experience in similar position
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge on Australian securities, cash options and an understanding of the risks inherent in corporate actions activities
- Tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
