Nelnet Bank is seeking an Analyst to fulfill job duties related to credit-based underwriting and multi-portfolio reporting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform credit-based underwriting and verification of income sustainability including review of W2s, tax returns, financial statements for self-employed borrowers, and retirement income as necessary
• Track and report manual underwriting volume and decision outcomes
• Produce daily reporting for application volume and new loans disbursed
• Complete ad-hoc reporting requests as needed
• Complete other projects as assigned by management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for credit administration

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business management or related discipline

EXPERIENCE:
Relevant work experience preferred but not required

COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
• Analytical expertise
• Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles related to income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flow
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong oral and written communication skills
