The Video & Motion Graphics Designer II is responsible for concept, design, development, execution and implementation of motion graphics and video across all Nelnet clients. This position executes innovative video strategies using best practices in motion and sound design and other interactive media. In addition, this position is responsible for delivering and maintaining the quality of motion and sound design throughout all phases of a project.The Video & Motion Graphics Designer II works closely, as part of a team (NBS Creative Director and other creative leaders), to identify clients’ motion and video needs based on marketing and business goals. Responsibilities also include delivering and maintaining the quality of video design throughout all phases of a project.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Shoots, creates, and edits live action videos, and motion graphics, to effectively represent events and products.
2. Assists in preparing storyboards for event or product videos, to be approved by clients.
3. Films scenes and ensures proper lighting and sound for effective video production.
4. Assists in space selection, scouting, shot list creation, voice talent, actors, props, and aspects of video shoot planning.
5. Assists with obtaining pricing for video equipment and client estimates.
6. Ensures concepts meet strategic goals and objectives.
7. Helps present work to clients.
8. Works in tandem with creative writers and directors on projects.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of experience in motion graphics, live action, audio recording, and editing. Experience in 3D animation and graphic design, a plus.
COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
1. Skilled in learning and implementing new motion graphics, live action, and sound trends into projects.
2. Proficient with AfterEffects, Premiere, audio recording software, and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications needed to produce excellent creative.
3. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication, as well as presentation skills.
4. Highly creative with a passion for videography and cinematography.
5. Team player.
6. Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
7. Organized and efficient.
8. Project planning ability.
9. Budget and time management skills.
10. Ability to prioritize workload for self and others so assignments are completed and approved on time.
11. Ability to carry out video projects from concept to final execution.
Compensation range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 depending on experience.
