Nelnet Business Services (NBS) Marketing is seeking a Graphic Design Intern for Summer 2025 to support production design across multiple brands and business lines. This role will focus on preparing digital and print assets, managing Canva templates and designs, and ensuring brand consistency across all creative outputs. The ideal candidate has at least one year of prior design or internship experience, a strong eye for detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute production design for marketing campaigns, social media, and print collateral across multiple NBS brands and companies.
• Create, organize, and manage branded templates and assets in Canva for use across business lines.
• Check details ensuing all graphics, colors and typographical elements are free of errors.
• Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
• Start initial layouts of designs with guidance from other Graphic Designers on the team.
• Search and download images from stock sites for campaigns.
• Make layout copy edits from Marketing strategists or Stakeholders.
• Create PDFs, proofs, JPGs, animated banners, ads, social posts for client review and production in various platforms.
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., image generators, ChatGPT) for concept development, design ideation, content support, and experimentation in creative workflows.
• Assist with photo or video shoots as needed.
• Hybrid position, working in an office setting 2-3 days per week.

EDUCATION:
Working toward a 4-year degree in art, design, marketing, advertising, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:
College Juniors and Seniors preferred, or design/layout introduction classes at the minimum.

Experience with ADOBE Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe XD, Canva, and ChatGPT. (In order of importance).
