The Chief of Staff, Nelnet Financial Services (“NFS”), will wear multiple hats, supporting the team’s continued growth, efficiency, coordination and administration – all while serving in a highly valuable role. The role will have an emphasis on supporting Nelnet’s core investment team, and benefit from someone that thrives on high-energy, and operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, transaction-driven and often ambiguous environment. No direct experience in investments is required; although a growth-oriented individual will have opportunity to take on new challenges and responsibilities. This role will own executive administration, project management, key prioritization and deadlines and pipeline management..Executive & Team Support
Proactively identifies priorities, anticipates needs, removes obstacles and escalates critical issues.
Track key deadlines and deliverables to support NFS’ investment business, with a large focus on specialty finance.
Manage calendars for executives, coordinate high-volume, time-sensitive meetings and calls, and support cross-functional engagements.
Prepare executives for meetings by assembling briefing materials, market updates, financial summaries, and investor-related meetings.
Conference management and preparation in conjunction with team,
Manage expense reporting ensuring accuracy, and adherence to corporate policy.
Facilitate pipeline and priority management.
Assist in business strategy related items.
Maintain confidentiality with respect to market-sensitive, financial, or strategic information.
Introduce structure and process in areas where workflows are ambiguous or unstructured, improving team efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Assist on ad hoc projects, presentations or internal deliverables.

This role is in-office 8-5 in Lincoln, NE 5 days a week
Education
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred; or relevant experience
Experience
Experience supporting executives or senior leaders preferred
Prior experience supporting capital markets, finance, treasury, or investor relations preferred
Experience managing projects or coordinating cross-functional initiatives a plus
