The Lead Software QA Tester develops and implements a strategic plan for a company-wide testing framework which establishes a testing culture promoting consistency and best practices. This position also involves collaboration and coordination with multiple development teams, as well as maintaining an active role within a development team using best practices.

What you’ll do:

As a Lead Software QA Tester at FACTS, you are instrumental in helping to establish a testing culture promoting consistency and best practices. You’ll serve as a quality expert and provide direct day-to-day guidance and leadership to our talented and motivated development teams. This includes collaboration and coordination with multiple development teams. In addition to having a strong quality aptitude, leadership and communication skills are important in your role.

As an IT QA Technical Lead, a typical day might include:

  • Creating and advancing multi-year plans to direct the advancement of testing procedures and testing automation

  • Evaluating, with the assistance of Technical Leads, the state of testing processes and testing automation used by each team

  • Identifying and ensuring metrics are used to track both improvements and established processes

  • Coaching and mentoring team members across multiple teams within the company

  • Working with Technical Leads, Architects and Managers within the company to plan and advance testing automation and processes to provide updates to leadership

**Pay Range for this role - $110,000 - $120,000

You Have:

  • 2-3 years experience with test framework and testing tools used by the team

  • The ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities

  • Strong database knowledge (table design, complex query creation, best practices)

  • Strong desire to learn, push the envelope, and share knowledge with others

  • Experience mentoring others and/or leading a significant change within a team

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management to explain complex issues clearly and concisely.
