The opportunity

The Infrastructure Team is responsible for managing the Netwealth Technology Infrastructure and delivering infrastructure projects across our hybrid cloud platform. As a Mid-level Systems Engineer, you will be involved in both BAU ticket support and long-term projects, focused on designing and maintaining our cutting-edge cloud infrastructure solutions. Approximately 50% of this role serves as the first point of contact for platform support requests, ensuring our platform users receive timely and effective assistance. A crucial part of this role involves deploying and configuring infrastructure as code.

You will also work on different areas of interest and learn new technologies and skills. Depending on your level of expertise and experience, you will be assigned to projects that match your strengths and goals. We have a flexible schedule at Netwealth that allows you to focus on your projects when you are not on support duty. You will work in a sprint cycle of two weeks, alternating between support and project tasks.

About you

As an experienced Systems Engineer, you multitask and prioritise your tasks according to urgency and importance of each ticket or project. You are passionate about improving the reliability and operability of mission-critical services. You collaborate well with others and excel at managing stakeholder expectations.

Technical skills and experience include:

• Hands-on experience with deploying and configuring Infrastructure As Code, with a passion for automation
• Experience working in incident, service request and change management environments
• Expertise in managing and optimising infrastructure and cloud services (Azure, PowerShell, VMware, AD, DNS, Firewall)
• Experience with DevOps code pipelines and tooling
• Participation in Infrastructure projects that ensure high availability and maintain infrastructure services' health
