The opportunity
This newly created role of Senior Manager – Regulatory Change and Policy is responsible for maturing the policy governance framework and leading the implementation of key regulatory changes across the organisation.
About you
- Support the business to implement and manage the policy governance framework (ie policies, procedures, standards) including reflecting industry practices and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the implementation of FAR and CPS 230 Operational Risk Management
- Manage the policy lifecycle process, including timely review and approval with relevant committees and boards.
- Manage the policy register and exemption process.
- Conduct impact assessments and gap analyses to identify the implications and risk of regulatory change.
- Develop and implement change plans and solutions to address regulatory change requirements and mitigate risks.
- Support and provide advice on the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and controls required due to regulatory change.
- Provide advice and guidance to the business on regulatory and policy changes.
- Manage stakeholders' expectations so that deliverables and key dates are understood and met.
- Provide relevant updates and reporting the executive team, committees and boards.
You have:
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a proactive, solution-orientated compliance professional in the banking or financial services industries. Managed investment, IDPS and/or superannuation experience highly preferred.
- Ideally tertiary qualifications in law, finance, business or a related qualification.
- Experience with legislation and regulation related to Privacy, BEAR/FAR and CPS 230 is highly desirable.
- Substantive experience drafting and redesigning company policies is required.
- Experience in delivering complex and significant change across an organisation within key dates.
- Experience designing, implement and maturing risk and compliance frameworks.
- Strong working knowledge of AFSL and other relevant financial services obligations required
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory legislation and input into practical business operations.
- Change management and project delivery experience with a demonstrated ability to manage, embed and drive significant change.
- Excellent time management, communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
