Join us in our mission and become part of a team that not only envisions a better future but actively works to create it.

The opportunity

Our Finance team is at the heart of Netwealth’s growth story, shaping strategy, driving performance and ensuring we meet the highest standards of governance. With major transformation projects underway, including ERP implementation and process automation, this is an exciting time to join a team that is modernising finance and building a foundation for scale.

We’re looking for a strong Senior Financial Accountant who wants more than just month-end. In this role, you’ll have exposure to executive decision-making, complex technical accounting challenges and opportunities to influence how we operate. You’ll partner across the business, contribute to strategic initiatives and play a key role in delivering accurate, insightful reporting that underpins Netwealth’s success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage month-end, half-year and year-end close for assigned entities, including consolidations, journals, reconciliations and variance analysis.

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, statutory accounts and reporting in line with AASB/IFRS, ASX and emerging sustainability standards, and deliver monthly CFO reporting packs with clear commentary.

  • Research and apply accounting standards, draft technical papers and contribute to group accounting policy development.

  • Lead external audits and ensure compliance with AFSL financial requirements, APRA reporting obligations and other statutory requirements.

  • Prepare corporate tax accounting and BAS, and coordinate with external advisers on tax matters.

  • Drive process improvements and support ERP implementation by documenting requirements, testing modules and designing workflows.

About you

As an experienced Senior Financial Accountant, you are passionate about delivering accurate, timely reporting and enabling informed decision-making. Your skills include:

  • CPA or CA qualified.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field.

  • 5+ years’ accounting experience, ideally in an ASX-listed or financial services environment, ideally experience in funds management or superannuation.

  • Strong technical knowledge of AASB/IFRS, consolidations and statutory reporting.

  • Proven ability to manage audits and regulatory compliance (AFSL, APRA).

  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business.

  • A positive, collaborative attitude, curiosity to learn.
