The Team
The Investment Solutions & Governance team at Netwealth oversees our financial products across their full lifecycle, from strategy and development through to ongoing management, governance (including compliance and disclosure) and investment research. Netwealth’s financial product suite includes the Netwealth Superannuation and IDPS platforms, the Netwealth Managed Account solutions, and Netwealth’s Global Specialist Series managed funds, with significant exposure across defensive and income‑oriented asset classes.
The Investment Management & Research (IMR) team works closely with the broader Product team to research, select and govern the investments offered to clients across Netwealth’s platforms, with a strong focus on fixed income, credit, property and other income‑generating strategies within client portfolios.
The opportunity
As an Investment Analyst within the IMR team, you will report to the Head of Investment Research and Governance and support the implementation of Netwealth’s investment governance framework across its financial product suites and superannuation services.
This role has a particular emphasis on fixed income, credit and property strategies, supporting the selection, monitoring and ongoing governance of specialist managers and products in these asset classes.
Key responsibilities:
Managing the ongoing governance of the investment menu, including asset addition, monitoring, surveillance and removal, with a focus on fixed income, credit and property exposures
Managing IMR quantitative and data requirements, including maintaining systems and data integrity across platforms such as FactSet, Morningstar Direct and related analytical tools
Conducting external investment manager reviews (fund managers and model managers), particularly across fixed income, property and income‑oriented strategies
Preparing high‑quality written analysis, investment recommendations and supporting documentation
Delivering Investment Committee reporting and contributing to the execution of the IMR annual work plan

Supporting portfolio construction, risk analysis and stress‑testing activities relevant to defensive and income‑focused asset classes
About you
As an Investment Analyst with a specialist mindset, you will ideally bring platform experience or a background from an investment consulting firm, or research house. You will have experience engaging with rating teams, meeting fund managers, and evaluating and rating investment products, particularly within fixed income, credit and property markets.
You are comfortable working with research platforms and analytical tools that support investment decision‑making and governance. You can clearly communicate your insights and recommendations, both verbally and in writing, and bring a strong sense of curiosity to understanding markets, structures and risk drivers, particularly within more complex or defensive asset classes.
Specific skills and experience include.
A tertiary qualification in financial services related disciplines (commerce, financial markets or financial advice). Relevant industry certification (CFA, CIMA, FRM, etc) is highly regarded.
Knowledge and understanding of platform financial products and their use by clients and advisers.
Exposure to fixed income, credit and/or property investment strategies, including manager structures, risk characteristics and performance drivers
Understanding of a Responsible Entity for a registered Managed Investment Schemes and Superannuation Trustee regulations are advantageous.
Working knowledge on fund manager quantitative analysis and investment stress testing are preferred.
Exceptional management of time and activities – ability to keep everything in order and up to date.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to enable effective communication of complex concepts and preparation of reports.
Attention to detail, to ensure complete and accurate information in report and written documents.
A passion for providing outstanding service to stakeholders (internal and external).
