About Netwealth

Netwealth isn't just a company. We're shaping the future of wealth in Australia. Our award-winning platform and NextGen technology empower advisers and investors to achieve more, and we're proud to be recognised as one of Australia's most innovative FinTech businesses.

Since 1999, we've grown rapidly by challenging the status quo. We move fast, think big, and stay agile. Free from unnecessary bureaucracy so we can deliver smarter solutions for our clients and create real impact.

But what truly sets us apart? Our people. We're a team of curious, optimistic and courageous individuals who collaborate to make life better for more Australians. We value authenticity, and agility, and we believe in creating an environment where you can do your best work, grow your career, and feel part of something meaningful.

If you're looking for a place where your ideas matter, where innovation is celebrated, and where you can help shape a brighter financial future, join us at Netwealth.

The Opportunity

Netwealth's Office of the Trustee plays a critical role in ensuring the Superannuation Master Fund operates with strong governance, sound judgement and an unwavering focus on members' best financial interests.

As the business continues to grow and mature, we are seeking an experienced and influential leader to take the Office of the Trustee into its next phase, deepening its strategic impact, strengthening executive engagement and further embedding a member-first lens across decision-making.

As General Manager, Office of the Trustee you will act as the primary interface between the Trustee Board and the Executives, providing independent oversight, insight and constructive challenge to help deliver the best outcomes for members. This role is about enabling better decisions, brining clarity, prioritisation and judgement to complex matters, while supporting the business to move forward with confidence.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as trusted adviser to the Trustee Board on governance, fiduciary obligations and members' best financial interests

  • Represent the voice of the member in strategic, commercial and operational decisions

  • Provide independent 'check and challenge' to executive leaders, balancing regulatory requirements with practical, member-focused outcomes

  • Lead the fund's strategic business planning and member outcomes frameworks

  • Influence senior stakeholders through credibility, insight and strong relationships, rather than formal authority

  • Lead, mentor and further develop a capable Office of the Trustee team, ensuring the function remains fit-for-purpose, effective and appropriately scaled

About you

You are a highly credible, senior leader with deep experience in superannuation governance and a genuine commitment to acting in members' best financial interests. You are known for your gravitas, clarity of judgement and ability to focus leaders on what matters most, while leading lean, high-impact teams with integrity.

Most importantly, you are motivated by purpose and impact, and take pride in representing the interests of superannuation members in everything you do.

You bring:

  • Significant experience in superannuation, trustee operations, governance or senior legal roles within financial services

  • Strong knowledge of superannuation law, trustee obligations and prudential standards

  • A proven ability to operate at Board and executive level, influencing outcomes through insight, judgement and trust

  • The confidence to provide independent challenge while maintaining strong, constructive relationships

  • A strategic, pragmatic mindset, focused on material issues, member impact and value
