The Opportunity
Netwealth has created a new General Manager - Operations, a critical role at the heart of how we deliver accurate, timely and scalable investment administration.
This is a senior leadership role with broad remit across complex operational domains where no two days look the same.
You'll lead teams responsible for administering all facets of our Wrap and Super products from an investment perspective, including domestic and international operations, corporate actions, asset administration and tax and technical. You'll also lead the end-to-end administration through our managed accounts service, from model establishment and maintenance, through to mandate monitoring, client and asset transfers, order execution and fee deductions.
With four direct reports, you'll provide strong direction to leaders and teams, develop depth of capability, and ensure the function can respond quickly and effectively to business growth, regulatory change, system changes and evolving client expectations.
You'll be responsible for;
Owning end-to-end operational performance across Investments Operations and Managed Accounts
Ensuring stability and operational discipline, including controls, reconciliations and exception management
Driving efficiency and stability through smarter processes, automation and risk reduction
Overseeing operational readiness for technology releases and major system upgrades
Building leadership capability and reducing key-person dependency across teams
Representing Operations at senior levels, including client engagement, stakeholder partnerships and board reporting
About you
You're a proven operations leaders who combines breadth (you can span multiple operational domains) with the ability to go hands-on into the detail when required. You're pragmatic, balanced and known for building stable, high-performing teams that deliver consistently, even in complex, time-critical environments.
Skills and experience you'll bring:
Senior operations leadership in complex platform or custody environments; experience across IDPS, super, wrap platforms, custodians or similarly high‑consequence operating models.
Breadth across Investment Operations and Managed Accounts; comfortable leading across trading‑adjacent operations, corporate actions, reconciliations, tax, exceptions and managed account activity — without losing balance or focus.
Strong product, systems and regulatory understanding; solid working knowledge of investment and superannuation products, taxation impacts and operational risk.
Proven ability to lift operational effectiveness; a track record of improving efficiency, tightening controls and embedding scalable, repeatable processes.
Leadership that builds depth and resilience; known for developing leaders, setting clear standards and reducing key‑person dependency.
Executive presence and stakeholder credibility; confident operating with senior stakeholders and representing Operations in internal forums, client conversations and third‑party engagements.
