Nium was founded on the mission to build the global payments infrastructure of tomorrow, today. Its payout network supports 100 currencies and spans 195+ countries, 100 of which in real-time. Funds can be disbursed to accounts, wallets, and cards and collected locally in 35 markets. Nium’s growing card issuance business is already available in 34 countries. Nium holds regulatory licenses and authorizations in over 40 countries, enabling seamless onboarding, rapid integration, and compliance – regardless of geography. The company is co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore, with regional offices in London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
Role:
As a Director – Quality Engineer you will be responsible for the end-to-end QA strategy, approach, and execution of all Product and Business development projects. As a test COE leader and engagement lead for all financial digital product offerings (pay-outs, pay-ins, card issuance and banking as a service) to clients in various sectors via one API. You as a leader have to ensure the best and standard processes and practices have been followed and executed effectively.
What you will do:
Responsible for Defining QA strategy, approach, and execution in development projects.
Responsible for leading, directing and building learning path for the QA leadership team.
Development, Process redefining and streamlining, Talent development/revamping, and Offshoring.
Provide leadership and technical expertise within in API-based Testing, Test Automation and Quality Assurance.
Be accountable for the test automation projects, mentor, and provide leadership to the QA automation developers, leads and managers.
Ensuring that the development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines, and best practices of the QA strategy as defined.
Monitoring and retrospect all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis, and identifying areas of improvement. Implement steps required to improve the processes.
Gather and present all test metrics and testing activities for the projects to key stakeholders.
This includes testing tools for functional, performance, automation, etc.
Manage training and continuous learning of QA staff utilizing short courses, conferences, cross KT, internal KT, meetups, certifications etc.
Experienced in managing all aspects of an engagement, including analysing customer requirements, establishing engagement vision and goals, monitoring, and guiding cross-functional teams through execution.
Expertise in developing Test Progress reports and overall test summary reports.
Ability to understand various aspects of Integration testing involving multiple interfaces.
Ability to rapidly absorbs new technical information and applies it effectively.
What you should have:
14 plus years of overall hands-on experience in QA, at least 8 years in Test Automation Engineering.
Hands-on expertise with test Automation Framework using RestAssured, Selenium, Appium or similar frameworks.
Test architecture development and implementation using open-source test and data automation frameworks and/or commercial tools.
Expertise in working with tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Galen, Appium, Calabash, VSTS, Karate, Serenity, SoapUI, Jenkins, Junit, Spock, and TestNG.
Experience in languages/tools, such as JavaScript. Etc
Experience with quality tools like JIRA, HP ALM, Zephyr, Rally, Rational, MTM, TFS/VSTS, and virtualization technology.
Experience in designing and coding highly efficient tests for scalable, distributed, and large applications. Rich experience in automating sanity and regression suites.
Proven experience in building test data management solutions into complex integrated environments.
Expertise in developing test automation and Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) solutions using Jenkins, Bitbucket, Github.
Expertise in different test automation approaches (keyword-driven, Data-driven, BDD, hybrid).
Experience crafting robust, readable, and maintainable automated tests and utilities/fixtures.
Experience in managing a Test Automation project (Web Service and UI) per the defined requirement and deliverables.
Experience in leading the team of Test Automation project.
Should be able to create a project plan and track each activity to its closure.
Tracking data for project progress, preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Communicating risk appropriately and highlighting the impacted areas.
Experience in tracking defined deliverables.
Experience in working in an onsite-offshore delivery model.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
Strong communications skills, able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies/processes, and good attitude towards teamwork.
Learn and works on new technologies with a go-get attitude.
Qualification:
A degree in Computer Science or equivalent from Tire-1 Institute
Scrum Master or Agile Professional
Any certification related to Quality Engineering
