About the Role
The Quality Control role is responsible for independently assessing work completed by operational teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The role plays a key part in identifying risks, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining high-quality standards across operations.
Responsibilities
- Quality Review & Assurance
- Perform independent quality reviews on completed cases, files, or tasks in line with defined QC frameworks and sampling methodologies.
- Assess adherence to internal policies, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and client-specific guidelines.
- Accurately document review outcomes, findings, and quality scores in designated tracking tools.
- Issue Identification & Risk Management
- Identify errors, trends, and systemic issues impacting quality or compliance.
- Clearly articulate root causes of quality failures and distinguish between individual errors and process gaps.
- Escalate high-risk findings, material breaches, or recurring issues in line with escalation protocols.
- Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Provide clear, constructive, and evidence-based feedback to analysts, team leads, or managers.
- Support calibration sessions to ensure consistent quality standards across reviewers.
- Contribute to improvements in QC frameworks, checklists, and review methodologies.
- Reporting & Governance
- Produce regular quality reports highlighting performance trends, key risks, and improvement areas.
- Track corrective actions and validate remediation effectiveness where required.
- Support audits, internal reviews, and regulatory examinations as needed.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Training, Compliance, and Management teams to align quality expectations.
- Act as a subject matter reference for quality-related questions and interpretations.
Requirements
- Technical & Analytical
- Strong attention to detail and ability to assess complex information objectively.
- Solid understanding of quality assurance principles and risk-based review approaches.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements accurately.
- Communication
- Clear written communication skills with the ability to provide precise, actionable feedback.
- Confident in challenging decisions constructively and professionally when standards are not met.
- Behavioural
- High integrity and independence in decision-making.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet review deadlines consistently.
- Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Compliance, Operations, or a related field.
- Experience reviewing case-based or process-driven work is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with regulated environments (e.g., financial services, compliance, onboarding) is an advantage.
