Job Purpose:

The Director of Business Development, Engagement, is responsible for driving new client acquisition (logo count), expanding market presence, and increasing product adoption of Engagement’s solutions. This role is focused on establishing strategic relationships, promoting Engagement’s products, and driving growth across a variety of trading environments. The Director will play a pivotal role in increasing oneZero Engagement’s market footprint by identifying, nurturing, and closing new client opportunities.

While there is no direct team management, this position collaborates closely with Sales, Operations, and Product teams to ensure the successful adoption of Engagement solutions. A key responsibility is ensuring the identification of new business opportunities and successfully converting leads into active clients, helping to drive the company's revenue growth.

Duties:

  • Drive new business development with a primary focus on increasing logo count (new clients) for oneZero Engagement.
  • Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to identify and capture new client opportunities across brokers, trading platforms, and financial institutions.
  • Identify and prospect new clients via organic methods, inbound marketing, and in-person events such as conferences.
  • Build strong advisory relationships with key prospects, gaining a deep understanding of their needs and showcasing how Engagement tools can increase trading activity, enhance market analysis, and drive trader engagement on their platform.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from initial qualification and product demonstrations to contract negotiation and successful deal closure.
  • Provide product demonstrations and presentations to highlight Engagement’s capabilities and ensure that prospects understand the value of the product suite.
  • Track and manage leads and opportunities in the company’s CRM system, ensuring accurate pipeline forecasting and visibility for the organization.
  • Generate and manage pricing proposals, leveraging oneZero Engagement’s commercial model to close deals that align with client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and product integration for new clients, ensuring successful adoption and client satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the sales process, ensuring smooth transition and continued engagement.
  • Increase upsell and cross-sell opportunities by identifying additional product needs and introducing complementary features from Engagement’s suite.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and Engagement’s product offerings, adapting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Represent oneZero Engagement at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions, enhancing brand visibility and fostering new business opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within FinTech, trading technology, or analytics.
  • Proven track record of acquiring new clients (logos) and managing the sales lifecycle, from prospecting to closing.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, including Forex, CFDs, Equities, Crypto, with knowledge of technical analysis and trading signals.
  • Strong ability to identify client needs, structure tailored solutions, and deliver compelling product demonstrations.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage with senior decision-makers and communicate complex solutions effectively.
  • Experience in selling electronic trading solutions, market analysis tools, or SaaS products to brokers, trading platforms, and financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with MT4/MT5, cTrader, and other trading platforms and brokerage systems is a plus.
  • Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) to track and manage sales pipeline.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and drive results.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations to a range of client profiles.
