We are currently looking for a motivated and talented DevOps Engineer to join our Canberra Development team. The primary responsibility for this role will be to support the modernization of our CI/CD infrastructure as we transition from on-premises systems to cloud-native solutions. You will drive improvements in build performance, system reliability, and development workflow efficiency while implementing industry best practices for infrastructure-as-code and automated monitoring.

This role is a full-time position in the oneZero Canberra office. Applicants must be based in the Canberra region or be able to relocate.

Role Responsibilities
- Own and improve CI/CD for the oneZero engineering team (currently on-premises Bamboo; potential future migration to GitHub Actions).
- Design and operate build/test infrastructure on AWS to improve performance, reliability, and scalability (Windows-heavy environment).
- Implement CI/CD observability: dashboards, alerting, and KPI reporting (build duration, queue times, failure rates, test coverage).
- Support AU engineering infrastructure needs that bridge DevOps, IT R&D/Ops (including Okta SSO support and secure access patterns).
Required Skills:
- 4+ years working as a DevOps engineer, primarily in Windows-based environments.
- Experience with AWS (EC2, containerization, and managing build/test infrastructure).
- Experience with GitHub Actions and pull request workflows.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Batch) for automation and reliability improvements.
- Experience operating and improving CI/CD systems (Bamboo and/or GitHub Actions), including pull request workflows and build/test automation.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration tooling (Terraform, Spacelift, and/or Ansible).
- Experience implementing CI/CD monitoring and metrics (build performance, test coverage, failure rates) using tools such as Datadog.
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate scripting, CI/CD automation, troubleshooting and incident investigation.
Additional Skills:
Additional experience in any of the following will be highly regarded.
- Distributed build acceleration tools (Incredibuild or similar).
- Security scanning integration (Snyk or similar SAST/SCA tools)
- SSO implementation and identity management
- Experience migrating from on-premises to cloud infrastructure, including hybrid transition periods.
- Experience creating dashboards and KPIs for engineering productivity
- Integration experience between multiple SaaS/enterprise tools via APIs
