The Role
Join us for an exciting 6-week paid Summer Internship in our Bahamas office, where you’ll actively support key areas including Business Development, Compliance, and Market Risk. Under close guidance, you’ll engage with meaningful projects and gain hands-on experience within a globally regulated financial services environment, building valuable skills and insights.
Key Position Responsibilities
Business Development
- Conduct market research on industry trends, competitor activity, and local market dynamics
- Assist in the preparation of business development reports and management information
- Support tracking and documentation of business development initiatives and pipeline activity
Compliance
- Assist with process documentation, policy reviews, and regulatory research relevant to the Securities Industry Act, 2024 and SCB requirements
- Support maintenance of compliance registers, records, and tracking logs
- Help prepare internal compliance summaries and reports as directed
Market Risk Awareness
- Shadow the Market Risk Analyst to gain a basic introduction to day-to day risk monitoring within a broker-dealer environment
- Assist with straightforward data entry and document preparation tasks as directed
- Observe team processes, with no independent decision-making or execution responsibilities
About You
- Current enrolment in, or recent completion of, an undergraduate or postgraduate degree — preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, or a related discipline
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word , Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to take direction in a fast-paced environment
- Committed to quality and continuous learning
