Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager at Send Payments, focusing on the legal sector, you will be pivotal in expanding our market presence within the legal industry. Your primary responsibility will be to engage directly with legal firms and companies, introducing them to our tailored foreign exchange solutions for their unique needs, such as international relocations, cross-border payments, and financial transactions. You will act as the key liaison between legal clients and Send, driving business growth through strategic relationship building and delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition and Management:

  • Identify and target legal firms and companies with a need for foreign exchange solutions.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in the legal sector.
  • Present Send's foreign exchange products and services to potential clients, highlighting their benefits and relevance to the legal industry.
  • Convert leads into active clients by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • This role requires proactive participation in industry events to network with key stakeholders, stay updated on industry trends, and represent Send Payments effectively within the legal sector.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies specific to the legal sector, aligning with company goals.
  • Set and achieve sales targets, contributing directly to revenue growth from legal clients.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and systematically follow up to convert opportunities.

Client Onboarding and Support:

  • Guide legal clients through onboarding processes to ensure smooth and compliant setup.
  • Provide ongoing support and account management to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Educate clients on using Send's platform for their foreign exchange needs, providing training and troubleshooting as required.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct proactive market research to identify trends and opportunities within the legal sector.
  • Analyze data to understand client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and adjust sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate effectively with marketing and product teams to develop sector-specific materials and campaigns.
  • Communicate internally to ensure client needs are understood and met, supporting cohesive team efforts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in sales or business development, preferably within the finance or legal sectors.
  • Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets and products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to independently build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and other relevant software applications is advantageous.

This hybrid role will be based in our Sydney office at The Pier at Dawes Point.
