Square Financial Services, Inc. (SFS) is Block’s bank. We opened in March 2021 and provide lending and FDIC-insured deposit products to small businesses on a nationwide basis.
Job Description
The SFS Compliance Team is looking for a Compliance Policy & Training Manager to manage its compliance policy library and training program. You will report to the Director of the Compliance Management System.
You will:
Create and update compliance policies and training modules.
Maintain knowledge of financial consumer protection laws and their implementing regulations (e.g., ECOA, EFTA, FACTA, FCRA, GLBA, SCRA, TILA, and UDAAP).
Stay current on regulatory and product changes and ensure compliance policies and training adequately address all applicable legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
Be the subject matter expert for the training and policy systems and perform any user acceptance testing pertaining to system upgrades or enhancements.
Leverage strong project management skills to iterate, implement and manage the Compliance team’s policy and training programs.
Perform scheduled reviews of compliance policies and training and report on detected deficiencies along with proposed remediations.
Assist the Compliance team in preparing for program assessments, audits, or exams as well as the implementation of any remediation items.
Other projects and tasks as assigned by the Director of Compliance.
Draft and distribute compliance-related communications regarding policy changes, training assignments, etc. to the relevant audiences.
Update and maintain the Bank’s compliance resource library
Qualifications
You have:
5 years total experience in compliance policy management and training in the following areas: commercial banking, consumer protection laws, or commercial/consumer lending.
Strong foundational knowledge of commercial and consumer laws and regulations.
Experience in developing and implementing policies and training across multiple operational units and business affiliates.
Proven ability to understand and communicate legal and regulatory concepts and convert them into relevant, practical business requirements.
Excellent oral and technical writing skills.
Strong ability to build relationships and credibility with business leads, financial institution partners, and regulators through collaborative and independent projects.
Experience in managing multifaceted projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation or similar.
Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $135,200 - USD $202,800
Zone B: USD $125,800 - USD $188,600
Zone C: USD $119,000 - USD $178,400
Zone D: USD $108,200 - USD $162,200
