About The Role

As our Scouting & Relations Lead, you’ll be at the center of our accelerator and ecosystem-building efforts. You’ll play a critical role in discovering visionary, high-impact founders and empowering them through strong global connections with mentors, investors, and partners.

This is a hybrid role that combines startup scouting and relationship management - you’ll be spotting future unicorns, conducting initial assessments, and building relationships that bring value to both startups and our innovation network.

You’ll also represent SBC at events, support program activation, and contribute to scaling our global impact. In our entrepreneurial environment, you’ll have the freedom to explore ideas and help shape the future of our programs.

Your Core Responsibilities

• Startup Scouting - Scout, screen, and qualify high-potential startups for our accelerator programs.
• Founder Relations - Build strong connections with founders through interviews, outreach, and participation in events.
• Investor & Partner Engagement - Activate and manage relationships with investors and corporate partners, ensuring they stay engaged with our programs.
• Program & Event Support - Help coordinate accelerator touchpoints such as FastTracks, Pitch Days, Selection Events, Demo Days. Be the glue that binds our community of startups, mentors, and thought-leaders.
• Ecosystem Representation - Represent SBC in startup ecosystems across various channels (in-person and digital), helping us stay top-of-mind with founders, VCs, and hubs.
• Cross-Team Collaboration - Work closely with program, portfolio and operations teams to align scouting and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  
  
  

Profile Overview

We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is energized by the startup world. You’ll thrive in this role if:

• You have a strong interest in startups, venture capital, and innovation ecosystems.
• You are a natural connector - confident with people, persistent with outreach, and comfortable representing SBC externally.
• You have 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in a startup or innovation ecosystem, within scouting, community-building, stakeholder engagement, or sales.
• You’re proactive, curious, tech-savvy, and love working in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
• Strong analytical and research skills (bonus if you have experience using tools like Crunchbase, PitchBook, Airtable, HubSpot, and Notion).
• You’re fluent in English (Dutch or another European language is a plus).
