Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Banking as a Service team enables users to build and launch successful card programs and financial features into their product using powerful programmatic APIs. The team creates the infrastructure, user facing experiences, and partner integrations needed to manage the lifecycle of a card and enable efficient money movement. This is a great opportunity to help build one of Stripe’s fastest growing businesses. Our top users span fintechs to large enterprises & cover a range of verticals including Buy Now Pay Later, vertical SaaS platforms, on-demand marketplaces, expense management platforms, fleet, travel & more.

What you’ll do

As Product Manager for Growth, you will lead our nascent, but strategically critical, efforts to build early stage financial products for early stage businesses that come to Stripe to meet their finance needs. We are looking for a strong UX-minded and highly resourceful PM to rapidly build and iterate solutions to help users receive best-in-class financial products directly on Stripe. This is a highly complex and challenging role that will require you to deeply understand user needs and collaborate across internal and partner teams to build and launch a seamless product experience at scale.

We need a strong UX-focused Product Manager with expertise in crafting intuitive and delightful user experiences and bringing 0 to 1 products to market . This Product Manager will spend significant time with users to deeply understand their needs and experiences, Stripe leadership to discuss strategy and roadmap, and cross-functional internal stakeholders to build compliant and scalable products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead our efforts to build and iterate early stage financial products in the Stripe Dashboard
  • Shape the direction and product strategy for helping users receive financial products through Stripe
  • Collaboratively partner with other Stripe teams (engineering, design, legal, risk, compliance, etc.) early in the product development lifecycle and jointly shape product plans that lead with delightful and helpful user experiences
  • Own the roadmap and go to market, with product marketing, of the new financial products you ship
  • Act as the voice of the user in product and API designs, gathering direct feedback from customers
  • Ensure we’re building in a scalable, performant way

Who you are

We're looking for someone who:

  • Brings 5+ years of experience in a product role
  • Strong focus on user-experiences, from front-end UI through developer docs and technical integrations
  • Has domain knowledge in financial products and banking needs of small businesses
  • Has experience building platform and/or API products
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems
  • Can put themselves in the shoes of their users and be a steward of crafting great experiences
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $178,600 - $268,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
