We are seeking a capable and enthusiastic Liquidity Risk Senior Manager to join our team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and second line risk management advice and oversight to Wise Group. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of Liquidity Risk and relative regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
What you’ll be doing:

Support the head of Financial and Prudential Risk with
gaining deep understanding of product and client features & associated liquidity risk drivers & associated data / reporting requirements
enhancing liquidity risk metrics & qualitative indicators, appetites, thresholds, BAU and stressed management actions, governance and escalation
enhancing processes for risks monitoring and reporting & associated analytics
liquidity risk ongoing monitoring and reporting activities, while keeping abreast of internal and external events with potential impact on liquidity
enhancing the liquidity risk stress testing and scenario library
ownership of the liquidity risk policy and some sections of the ILAAP
understanding (and modelling, with support of our Risk Analytics resources) of client behaviour under BAU and stressed circumstance (in order to influence funds transfer pricing between Product Treasury and Corporate Treasury and eventually external pricing to clients)
providing 2LOD controls assurance and supporting RCSA exercises
project management of delivery of remedial actions (breaches, issues, etc)
Work closely with the first line of defence to develop a deep understanding of our products, business strategy, pricing, and consequently supporting the launch of new products or initiatives
Prepare and provide training for colleagues on liquidity risk management, or develop a form of management that raises the level of risk and control mindset
Prepare presentations for group risk committees
What you’ll bring:
7+ years of experience in liquidity risk management in either 1LOD or 2LOD
Strong knowledge of liquidity risk management tools, frameworks and metrics, e.g. HQLA investment policy, monetisation value and techniques, liquidity stress testing parametrisation and scenarios, intraday liquidity management, currency survival horizon, LCR and NSFR management, asset encumbrance, loans to deposit ratio, tenor and counterparty concentration, BAU vs stress customer behaviour, traded instruments such as interest rate swaps, FX swaps, repos, cost of liquidity / funds transfer pricing, contingency funding indicators and actions, liquidity forecast for budgeting purposes, etc.
Experience with (i) linking product and customer features to data requirements (ii) data normalisation and aggregation (iii) data analysis, to extract patterns and trends to better understand risk, customer behaviour, emerging risk exposures etc (ii)Power BI / SQL / Python /VBA/etc
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop practical solutions in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
Confident, resilient, with a presence and a determination to succeed in a dynamic and demanding business environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior management, regulators, and other stakeholders
It would be ideal but not essential if you had:
FRM or CFA qualification
Degree in Maths, Physics, Statistics, or a related field
