Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support the General Counsel at Wise. This role goes beyond traditional diary and travel management—you will be a strategic partner, handling high-level projects, governance coordination, and financial administration. Working closely with the legal leadership team, you’ll ensure seamless operations, communication, and project execution in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executive Support: Act as a gatekeeper, effectively managing the General Counsel’s time, priorities, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strategic Coordination: Prepare executive summaries, high-level reports, and board materials to support decision-making.

  • Governance & Compliance: Oversee legal team governance processes, ensuring best practices are followed.

  • Project & Event Management: Plan and execute team offsites, events, and cross-departmental initiatives, including assisting with exec team and board events.

  • Financial Oversight: Manage executive office budgets, invoices, and financial planning.

  • Communication Management: Draft and refine internal and external communications on behalf of the General Counsel.

  • Leadership Support: Lead administrative teams and contribute to strategic planning sessions.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant at senior leadership level, ideally in fintech, legal, or financial services.

  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and legal processes in a corporate environment.

  • Experience in project management and executing high-level administrative initiatives.

  • Proficiency in budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Meticulous attention to detail—accuracy is non-negotiable.

  • Exceptional business communication skills, including drafting executive-level correspondence.

  • Strategic problem-solving ability, with strong decision-making skills.

  • Ability to anticipate needs and proactively solve challenges.

  • Strong technical proficiency, particularly in Google Suite, Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Personal Attributes:

  • Highly organised and proactive, with a structured approach to workload management.

  • Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

  • Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Adaptable and eager to take on new responsibilities beyond traditional EA tasks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Law, Finance).
