Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Designer to join our award-winning Design Systems squad in London. You’ll be embedded in the team that imagines, builds, and maintains the system that empowers all of design and engineering at Wise to deliver at scale.

Your mission:

You’ll be part of the team that owns and evolves the Design System used by 90+ product teams at Wise, with a specific focus on Product Systems. You’ll be able to dig in and solve for challenges that our product teams and global audience face across a range of different areas in the business. You’ll create simple, easy-to-use building blocks that make up a multitude of different experiences that impacts 16 million users, from a diverse range of backgrounds, across the globe.

What you’ll be doing:

• You’ll build strong relationships with product teams and develop a deep understanding of our system subscribers’ needs — using those insights to inform and influence design decisions at scale. You’ll focus on connecting experiences across products, ensuring the system supports cohesive, end-to-end journeys.

• You’ll apply and evolve your craft through close collaboration, helping others grow by sharing knowledge and contributing to high-quality, consistent design practices.

• You’ll contribute to shaping direction and priorities within your team, championing customer-centricity, creativity, and high design standards in everything you do.

• Lead through doing. You bring clarity to complex problems and contribute directly to accessible, coherent solutions that scale—grounded in real product design experience and a deep understanding of how to unify experiences across products.

• Systems thinker. You’ve applied systems thinking in practice, identifying shared patterns, behaviours, and content to bring product experiences together at scale—driving consistency without introducing unnecessary rigidity.

• Craft meets strategy. You balance polish with purpose, using design decisions to support both user needs and business goals—whether at the product level or system scale.

• Advanced Figma skills. You’ve built and maintained scalable systems in Figma that are flexible, maintainable, and engineered to translate smoothly into code—strengthening the connection between design and development across platforms.

• Inclusive by design. You embed accessibility from the start, designing for a wide range of needs—not as an afterthought, but as a core part of the process.
