This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing ASX-listed fintech with a focus on managing Media Relations end-to-end across the company. This role plays a critical role in communicating the Wisr story and strongly positioning the company with relevant media stakeholders as part of a broader media relations strategy.
This is a key role in our Media, Communications and Brand team, acting as a trusted advisor to the wider Executive team by providing insight on Media Relations strategies, initiatives and key issues that may arise.
Key responsibilities include:
• Planning, and executing Wisr’s external communications strategy.
• Managing the media office across consumer, business, and investor alongside media partnership arrangements.
• Delivering media and ASX reporting materials including ASX results, announcements, media releases, investor materials, and other collateral.
• Identifying, coordinating and managing speaking, presentation, and awards opportunities for company leaders and business units.
• Building impactful relationships with media, journalists, producers, and key industry groups and associations.
• Managing media briefings and spokespeople training, as well as preparing executive stakeholders and customers for media opportunities.
• Managing issues as needed.
• Media coverage and activity reporting.
About you
You are a confident and experienced Media Relations and Communications professional with a strong background working in a similar role either in-house with an ASX-listed business or within an agency environment. You are a strong communicator with the ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally.
You love taking ownership of the media relations and communications function, proactively identifying opportunities for company growth alongside an ability to showcase the value of media relations to the wider business. By leveraging your current (and future) media relationships, you are an expert in building company recognition and understanding across all channels.
What you’ll bring
• Demonstrated experience working with senior executives and external stakeholders
• Highly experienced ideally within an ASX-listed company or similar
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple moving parts
• Strong written short-form and long-form communication skills
• Knowledge of the financial services industry is advantageous with the ability to distil complex information into easily digestible content
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong existing media relationships as well as the ability to continue nurturing Wisr’s existing relationships
