Senior Manager - FP&A in our Group Finance team will own modelling to support Zip’s longer term planning and decision making processes and will be working with a plethora of internal stakeholders and external advisors.
Reporting into our Group Financial Controller, you will partner with the Financial Control the broader FP&A teams and treasury across the group, along with key global stakeholders, to produce analysis and insights for senior management, including the Global Executive Team and the Board, and contribute to the finance transformation project. Some other initiatives for this role will include:
- Managing and contributing to forecasting for cash flow of the Group
- Managing group performance against strategy and operating policies
- Providing analysis and support to internal stakeholders, projects, Global Executive Team and the Board
- Driving our budgeting and forecasting processes and timely deliverables
- Owning our various FP&A reporting cycles (weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly) for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributing to and leading sections of the finance transformation project, to expand our focus on in-depth financial analytics, insights, and robust end-to-end reconciliations and process mapping.
Interesting problems you’ll get to solve
- Lead the Group budget & forecast consolidation process, ensuring consistency across geographies and operating segments, and assisting the broader FP&A & Financial Performance teams’ with clear and standard templates
- Manage the month end reporting process for the FP&A & Financial Performance teams globally, in partnership with the Financial Control team, including setting timetables, instructions, templates and requirements, and assisting in pulling together the Executives & Board reporting packs
- Support the Finance Manager to partner with the owners of the Global Group Services budgets
- Presenting to key executives on monthly reporting related to Group results
- Produce analysis and insights for senior management, including the global executive team and the Board
- Lead the distribution of regular performance reporting to the global executive team
- Contribute to the quarterly, half year and full year financial reporting, including contribution to the investor presentations, ASX releases and annual and half year statements
- Help define, adopt and implement consistent group processes and policies that support continued growth, including driving continuous improvement of these processes
- Work with other Finance Leads, such as Treasury, Tax, Financial Reporting to ensure group reporting reflect the required accounting approach and required supporting documentation is in place and Finance Systems on system and tooling support for FP&A teams
- Be a key contributor and owner, where applicable, to the preparation and consolidation of deal and long-term strategic models, as well as providing ad hoc analysis and reporting to support business and Group strategy, as required
- Mentoring, developing, and supporting your team, and ensuring their growth in both technical and soft skill competencies.
- Continuously improve processes, reporting, communication and relationships with key stakeholders and users of financial information. Collaboratively lead projects to achieve these goals.
- Provide other ad-hoc support to the Finance team, as required.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Demonstrated experience in FP&A and working on delivering results and outcomes to key stakeholders.
- 12+ years experience in FP&A or related fields (finance and accounting)
- Experience working with ASX 300 and/or a financial tech company is not necessary but preferred
- Advanced excel skills
- A passion for and experience working in Group role as part of a fast-paced multi-national organisation
- Comfortable with ambiguity and an ever-changing environment
- CA/CPA qualified or equivalent preferred
- Experience working with tier 1 ERP & BI systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including asynchronous working with stakeholders from remote/international teams
- Desire to continually improve, including challenging the status quo and making changes to internal reporting outputs
- Excellent relationship skills and an outgoing personality, with the ability to use both to build consensus and action across our business
